[ARCHIVED] The Royal Oak Public Library Launches Contactless Curbside Service

Application Screenshots

The Royal Oak Public Library is pleased to announce the launching of curbside pick-up capabilities through the myLIBRO application. Curbside service is available and will offer a contactless alternative to traditional methods of accessing library books, materials and services.

myLIBRO’s Curbside Pick Up feature allows patrons to search the library’s catalog through voice command and chat, confirm item availability, and then schedule a time for pickup all through the myLIBRO mobile application. From there, the library receives a notification of the order through a dashboard that allows the order to be tracked from collection to delivery. Patrons can also offer feedback on the experience if they choose, with patron satisfaction tracked in the dashboard system.

Curbside pickup will be offered Mon-Thur: 10am-8pm; Fri-Sat: 10am-5pm; Sun: 1-4pm. This service will be available by appointment only, via the myLIBRO application which patrons can download via the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. If you don’t have a smart phone please call (248) 246-3700 during curbside pickup hours to schedule an appointment. Please wait until you have received your notification that the hold is ready to schedule an appointment.

We are excited about the opportunity to offer a solution to our community that makes it as simple as ordering groceries or takeout from a local restaurant, while keeping the health and safety of the community and library staff a priority.
