The Royal Oak City Commission will be accepting applications through 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020 to fill an open seat following the resignation of Commissioner Randy LeVasseur.
To be considered for appointment, interested Royal Oak residents must submit an application form to the City Clerk. The online application form is available on the city’s website here.
The city commission’s appointee will hold office until the next biennial municipal election in November 2021, at which time voters will select a successor to fill the two remaining years of the vacated four-year term.

- Deadline to apply is Wednesday, Dec. 16 at 5:00 p.m.
- Applicants must be a registered voter and must be a resident of the City of Royal Oak for at least one year at the time their application is filed with the City Clerk.
- City commissioners receive $20 for each regular meeting they attend -- not to exceed an annual sum of $1,200.
