Royal Oak has more than 50 acres of nature preserves within the city's boundaries. The two preserves, Tenhave Woods and Cummingston Park, are considered the “natural jewels” of Royal Oak. Both are open during daylight hours and are maintained by the Royal Oak Nature Society.
