The City of Royal Oak has been recognized as a top five 2023 Honored Community by University of Michigan Dearborn researchers at iLabs.
The Royal Oak Tribune reports further: The recognition comes from the annual eCities study done by researchers at iLabs at the University of Michigan-Dearborn's Office of Engagement and Impact. The research was completed from data collected up to 2023.
"Over the last several years, Royal Oak has prioritized improving our infrastructure, providing efficient and effective service, removing barriers to encourage sustainable development," said Royal Oak Mayor Michael Fournier in a statement, "and showing entrepreneurs why Royal Oak is a great place to live, work and play."
The eCities study analyzed data from 277 communities in 54 counties statewide.
