A "Trivia Night" Fundraiser on March 3, 2023 at 6:00 PM at Club Venetian Banquet Center will benefit Blessings in a Backpack - Royal Oak. Tickets are $45/person or $400 for a table of 10. Price includes entry, small plates and trivia game. Cash bar is available.
Blessings in a Backpack is a registered 501 C (3) non-profit organization that provides food on the weekend to children who might otherwise go hungry. The kids they serve rely on meals they receive during the week at school but what do they eat on the weekend? Most of them go 65 hours with little or nothing to eat.
That's where volunteers come in!
Currently around 200 children per week in Royal Oak will receive a weekend food bag. As little as $140 feeds an elementary school child from Royal Oak Schools in the Blessings in a Backpack program for an entire 38-week school year.
Hunger doesn’t take a break on the weekends.
