The City of Royal Oak has declared a snow emergency effective at 3 a.m., Thursday, February 18.
All parked vehicles must be removed from roadways; vehicles that remain may be ticketed and/or towed. To provide sufficient time for residents to make alternative parking arrangements, citations will not be issued until 9 a.m. Thursday at the earliest. Street parking may resume once the street has been cleared.
As always, the high-volume, higher-speed roadways will be cleared first, followed by neighborhood streets. Crews will begin in the north sections of the city and work southward.
Once crews begin clearing neighborhoods, the city’s plow tracker web app will be updated approximately every three hours between 6am and 9pm.
Residents are reminded to keep refuse containers on the grass easements and not in the street.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation – stay safe out there!
