SNOW EMERGENCY INFORMATION: The City of Royal Oak has declared a snow emergency EFFECTIVE AT 6:00 pm TODAY, FEB. 2.
All parked vehicles must be removed from roadways; vehicles that remain may be ticketed and/or towed. To provide sufficient time for residents to make alternative parking arrangements, citations will not be issued until midnight at the earliest. Street parking may resume once the street has been cleared.
As always, the high-volume, higher-speed roadways will be cleared first, followed by neighborhood streets. Depending on the storm track and accumulations, crews may not address neighborhood streets until late Thursday or early Friday. Crews will begin in the south section of the city and work northward.
Once crews begin clearing neighborhoods, the city’s plow tracker webpage will be updated approximately every three hours between 6:00 am and 9:00 pm.
TRASH COLLECTION: As of this time, trash collection is not impacted. Residents are reminded to keep refuse containers on the grass easements and not in the street. If the trash collection schedule changes, we will let you know.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation!
