Royal Oak Public Library cards are issued to Royal Oak residents for library services including online access to eBooks and other online resources. Our youngest patrons are eligible for a library card when they can write their name. Students in Royal Oak Schools who are non-residents are also eligible for a library card - please see the Circulation Desk for details or click HERE to apply online.
As kids head back to school, there’s no better time for them to discover the treasures awaiting them in their local library. A library card can be a rite of passage for your child, giving them a sense of obligation and responsibility. Visiting your local library also encourages children to read. Reading helps brain development and provides a solid foundation of language and literacy skills. Opening a book encourages children to travel to far away places and let their imagination sore.
