Enjoy movies but don't like watching them along? Join us as we show the latest and greatest releases on DVD twice a month projected on a large screen. Call the center for movie titles and descriptions. Suggestions and donations are always welcome.

Detroit historian and author, Mickey Lyons, will be at the Royal Oak Senior Community Center to discuss her book: "Wicked Detroit: The Scoundrels Who Shaped The City's Early Years". Mickey's writings specialize in the history of drinking in Detroit. Her latest book details Detroit's long and sordid history of scoundrels, cheats and ne'er-do-wells. This exciting book presents the stories of the colorful charters who shaped the city that we now today! 

Copies are available for sale, $23.95 each and payable to Mickey Lyons.

Do you have Greeting Cards You're Not Using? The Senior/Community Center accepts donations of NEW greeting cards.

The Senior Center is looking to replenish our stock of greeting cards for the Tim's Kitchen Greeting Cards Fundraiser. We are in need of "birthday" greeting cards only. Please no Christmas or other holiday cards. We have plenty. 

If you would like to donate, please stop by the Center, Monday-Friday from 9:00 am - 4:30 pm. 

Michigan WWII Legacy Memorial Needs Your Help:

Raising Funds for the Memorial through your Michigan Tax Submission 

Michigan Voluntary Contribution Form: Tax Form 4642

The Michigan WWII Legacy Memorial is one of nine organizations listed on the 2018 Voluntary Contribution Form, allowing tax payers to donate a portion or all of their tax refund. It's a simple as checking the box to the Michigan WWII Legacy Memorial on the tax form and indicating the amount you wish to donate.

Not getting a refund? You can still use the form, indicate the amount of your donation, and have the donation added to the amount due to the state of Michigan. 

With your help, the can reach their goal to dedicate the memorial by the 75th anniversary of the end of WWII in 2020.

Memorial Funding is based solely on contributions from individuals

The Michigan WWII Legacy Memorial is a 501c3 non-profit organization and do not receive federal or state funding for the project.

The Memorial will celebrate Michigan's contributions during WWII, earning us the title of the Arsenal of Democracy.

It will provide a unique year-round destination for families and students to gather, honoring those who gave so generously during the war effort as well as celebrating the freedoms won by their sacrifice.

The Michigan WWII Legacy Memorial is counting on you to be a part of this unique opportunity.
