Royal Oak
Snow Emergency Alert

With the forecast calling for 4  to 6 inches of snow overnight, the City of Royal Oak is proactively declaring a Snow Emergency.

📅 Begins: Thursday, Feb. 13 at 10 AM

PLOW PLAN: Crews will focus on major roads first (Wednesday afternoon into the evening). Residential street plowing is expected to begin Thursday, Feb, 13 at 10 AM, beginning in the southeast end of the city and moving north.

There is NO STREET PARKING DURING A SNOW EMERGENCY. Vehicles left on the street MAY BE TICKETED.

ALTERNATIVE PARKING: Residents who need options for moving vehicles off the street may park in the following public parking lots:

  • Grant Park Lot (800 block of Fourth St.)
  • Starr Jaycee Park Lot (1321 W. 13 Mile Rd.)

HAVE A PLAN:  It can take up to 48 hours for the plows to go through all neighborhoods. Cars parked on the street during a snow emergency make it harder to plow, leaving behind dangerous snow piles and blocked drains. Avoid a ticket and have a plan for keeping all your vehicles off the street.
