2024 Construction Projects Map

Use the map above to see if a project is affecting your street. The city realizes construction will be an inconvenience and all efforts to expedite the work will be utilized to minimize traffic conflicts and access to various properties abutting the project.

Notices of Construction have been mailed to affected residents and copies are available online here.

CAP2407 Crooks Road

This week the contractor will be adjusting drainage structures within the lane closure areas in preparation for milling the existing asphalt roadway next week.

CAP2416/2415 Asphalt Resurfacing

This project will resurface several streets in the residential neighborhoods and the downtown.

All Phases have now been paved. Remaining road striping is scheduled for this week on all required streets and minor punch list items will be completed.

On Phase 5 streets, landscaping and irrigation repairs will continue this week, weather permitting.

CAP2435 Road Reconstruction


On Massoit, the contractor will work on the remaining concrete pour at the Hampton intersection. Next week the contractor will work on driveway approaches and sidewalk ramps.

On Vinsetta, no work planned for this week.

On Marais, the contractor will be pouring concrete on the west side of the roadway. Once cured, the contractor will switch the closure to the east side of the roadway in advance of early voting opening at the Senior Center precinct.

Marais will temporarily be changed to only allow ONE WAY traffic until construction is complete. Marais will be open for Northbound traffic only.  

On Glenwood, the contractor plans to finish prepping the roadway and pour the new concrete pavement this week.

On Hillside, the contractor will be grading and prepping the roadway for new concrete, which is tentatively scheduled for next week.

 *As part of this project the contractor will also be installing traffic calming chicanes on Marais Avenue between Thistle and Lexington as approved by the city commission.

CAP2405 Concrete Street Repairs

This project will replace some of the worst panels on the project streets shown in light blue on the project map linked above.

All Phases have now been poured and completed. The concrete sections that were poured last week will remain closed until it is strong enough to reopen to traffic. Minor punch list work and lawn restoration will continue.

CAP2410 Water Main Improvements

The contractor will be performing water main connections throughout the week on Northwood, to connect the new water main to the water supply system. Connections will be performed near Galpin, Bonnie View, and Lloyd. If resident will be affected by a water shut off, they will be notified beforehand via doorhanger with the date, start time and duration of the shut off.

Water main installation on Sycamore is complete. This week the new water main will undergo testing.

CAP2440 Green Infrastructure Improvements

Sheridan Drive - Arden Place - Grandview Road

The contractor will be working on water service transfers to the new water main this week.

CAP2402 Sidewalk Program

The sidewalk work is complete.  This week the contractor will be working on landscape restoration and punch list items.
