2023 Construction Project Map available now!

Use the map above to see if a project is affecting your street. The city realizes construction will be an inconvenience and all efforts to expedite the work will be utilized to minimize traffic conflicts and access to various properties abutting the project.

Notices of Construction have been mailed to affected residents and copies are available online here.

CAP2306 Rochester Road

This week the contractor will be shifting traffic to the outside lanes so they can mill the remaining roadway later in the week. Concrete work and paving to follow.

Turn Restrictions and Closures:

Left turns will not be allowed for northbound and southbound traffic at 12 Mile Road, Girard Avenue and at 13 Mile Road during construction to avoid backups. Northbound Rochester Road will be completely closed between Gardenia Avenue and Dewey Street. Local access to the Oakview Cemetery and Rite Aid will remain open.

CAP2308 Major Road Improvements

Normandy Road:

The contractor has completed paving and is working on painting the new pavement striping and installing signage this week. The contractor is also working on landscape restoration and concrete repairs.

CAP2310 Water Main Improvements

Houstonia

This week the contractor is working on pavement restoration. If residents will lose driveway access due to paving operations, they will be notified the day beforehand via doorhanger. Once new concrete is poured it takes 7-10 days to cure and gain strength before it can take the weight of a vehicle again.

CAP2315 Asphalt Resurfacing

All project streets have now been paved.

The contractor will be finishing minor landscape restoration, punch list items and sprinkler repairs over the next few weeks.

CAP2335 Road Reconstruction

The contractor plans to joint seal on Parkdale, Seventh and Fairgrove. 'No Parking' signs will go up in advance so that vehicles are off the street during joint seal operations. Afterwards the street sweeper will go down the block to clean up.

The contractor will also be finishing minor landscape restoration, punch list items and sprinkler repairs over the next few weeks.
