CAP2308 Major Road Improvements

Normandy Road:

The contractor completed the milling work last week. This week they will be working on concrete road base repairs and installing temporary ramps for driveways.

Normandy Road will be closed to thru traffic throughout construction. Residents with driveways on Normandy will still be able to enter the construction zone via the side streets to access their property. Businesses should direct their patrons, employees and deliveries to use Coolidge to access Normandy Road to minimize conflicts with construction work.

CAP2310 Water Main Improvements

Longfellow & Sixth Street

This week the contractor will be continuing work on landscape restoration on both streets. Once landscaping is all complete, the contractor will pave the final layer of asphalt on the roadway.

Houstonia

The contractor is continuing water main installation this week, working west to east. Once complete, the new water main will undergo bacteria testing and pressure testing.

CAP2315 Asphalt Resurfacing

All project streets have now been paved.

This week, the contractor will be working on landscape restoration, punch list items and sprinkler repairs. The contractor has sent the request to the barricade company to have all the traffic control materials picked up.

CAP2335 Road Reconstruction

Parkdale (Rochester to Ardmore)

The contractor plans to begin work on the west half of the roadway this week, removing the existing pavement.

Helene & Ferris

The contractor will be working on Helene performing landscape restoration, then will move to Ferris next. Brockton and Seventh to follow.

Brockton & Seventh

Three driveway approaches still need to be replaced and a sidewalk ramp. This work has been tentatively scheduled for next week. weather permitting. Once all the concrete work is complete, the contractor will finish landscape restoration.

CAP2302 Sidewalk Program

The contractor has completed the main sidewalk production work. The contractor will return in a few weeks to finish the remaining repairs and landscaping.
