2023 Construction Project Map available now!

Use the map above to see if a project is affecting your street. The city realizes construction will be an inconvenience and all efforts to expedite the work will be utilized to minimize traffic conflicts and access to various properties abutting the project.

Notices of Construction have been mailed to affected residents and copies are available online here.

CAP2306 Rochester Road

This week the contractor will work on the second halves of the driveways and intersections that were poured last week, once they are done curing.

South of 12 Mile, the contractor will be installing new rain gardens on the west side of the roadway.

Turn Restrictions and Closures:

Left turns will not be allowed for northbound and southbound traffic at 12 Mile Road, Girard Avenue and at 13 Mile Road during construction to avoid backups. Northbound Rochester Road will be completely closed between Gardenia Avenue and Dewey Street. Local access to the Oakview Cemetery and Rite Aid will remain open.

CAP2308 Major Road Improvements

Vinsetta Boulevard and Lincoln Avenue:

The contractor has completed paving and only minor landscaping work is remaining on these two streets. The contractor is finishing up lawn restoration as the weather cools down.

Normandy Road:

The contractor is backfilling behind the newly installed curbing, sidewalks and driveways that were poured last week. The contractor also plans to begin milling the roadway this week between Crooks and Delemere. Weather permitting, once complete they will continue milling operations between Delemere and Coolidge.

Normandy Road will be closed to thru traffic throughout construction. Residents with driveways on Normandy will still be able to enter the construction zone via the side streets to access their property. Businesses should direct their patrons, employees and deliveries to use Coolidge to access Normandy Road to minimize conflicts with construction work.

CAP2310 Water Main Improvements

Longfellow

This week the contractor will be continuing work on landscape restoration and sprinkler repairs and will be scheduling the final layer of asphalt once complete.

Sixth Street

The contractor is milling the existing roadway and has tentatively scheduled the first layer of asphalt to be placed this week.

Houstonia

The contractor is continuing water main installation this week, working west to east.

CAP2315 Asphalt Resurfacing


All project streets have now been paved.

This week, the contractor will be working on landscape restoration, punch list items and sprinkler repairs. The contractor has sent the request to the barricade company to have all the traffic control materials picked up.

CAP2335 Road Reconstruction

Parkdale (Rochester to Ardmore)

The contractor plans to begin work on the west half of the roadway beginning late this week or with possible inclement weather coming, early next week. 

Helene & Ferris

The contractor has completed the remaining concrete work and will work on lawn restoration this week.

Brockton

With possible inclement weather this week, the contractor will finish the remaining driveway approach for the school parking lot and remaining concrete work next week. Lawn restoration to follow.

Seventh

Weather permitting, the contractor will finish the remaining driveways and sidewalk ramps this week or early next week.

CAP2302 Sidewalk Program

The contractor has completed the main sidewalk production work. The contractor will return in a few weeks to finish the remaining repairs and landscaping.
