2023 Construction Project Map available now!

Use the map above to see if a project is affecting your street. The city realizes construction will be an inconvenience and all efforts to expedite the work will be utilized to minimize traffic conflicts and access to various properties abutting the project.

Notices of Construction have been mailed to affected residents and copies are available online here.

CAP2306 Rochester Road

This week the contractor will be backfilling the new curb and gutter, and grading driveways and intersections for concrete placement this week. The contractor plans to mill the existing asphalt roadway on Tuesday, weather permitting.

The contractor is also working on water main and catch basin structures.

Turn Restrictions and Closures:

Left turns will not be allowed for northbound and southbound traffic at 12 Mile Road, Girard Avenue and at 13 Mile Road during construction to avoid backups. Northbound Rochester Road will be completely closed between Gardenia Avenue and Dewey Street. Local access to the Oakview Cemetery and Rite Aid will remain open.

More information about the lane conversion can be found at:

CAP2308 Major Road Improvements

Vinsetta Boulevard:

This week the contractor has their landscaping company out doing sprinkler repairs. The contractor will likely have to redo some of the curbing work that was completed, due to deficient concrete. On Thursday, the contractor plans to pave the second layer of asphalt on the roadway and complete the intersections/turnarounds on Friday.

Normandy Road:

The contractor is continuing work on water main installation this week, between Crooks and Linwood.

Normandy Road will be closed to thru traffic throughout construction. Residents with driveways on Normandy will still be able to enter the construction zone via the side streets to access their property. Businesses should direct their patrons, employees and deliveries to use Coolidge to access Normandy Road to minimize conflicts with construction work.

Lincoln Avenue:

The contractor is pouring the concrete for the new median island today and will finish adjusting the sewer structures this week.

CAP2305 Concrete Repair Program

This week the contractor will be removing road pavement sections in the Phase 4 & 5 neighborhoods.

Work in Phases 1-3 is substantially complete.

Work will only be performed on one side of the street at a time, to maintain access for residents throughout construction. Only the worst sections of concrete pavement will be removed and replaced, not the entire roadway. If driveway access will be affected, residents will be notified the day beforehand via doorhanger.

The map below shows the project streets highlighted in LIGHT BLUE.
