The Royal Oak Police Department is seeking feedback on the Downtown Royal Oak parking system through an online public survey. The survey will be available to residents and interested parties now through Dec 18.
“The goal of the survey is to pinpoint parking habits and prioritize ways we can improve our operations,” said Chief Corrigan O’Donohue. “We want parking in our downtown to be as convenient, efficient, and customer friendly as possible. We also want people who use and rely on the parking system to have a voice in any changes we make.”
The police department has been evaluating automated parking technologies that offer users a variety of functions not currently available. The parking survey will be used to quantify the decision-making process.
