Mayor Michael Fournier delivered his State of the City address before hundreds of residents at the opening of Normandy Oaks Park on July 10.
The mayor's speech focused on public safety, neighborhoods, parks and recreation, small businesses, environmental priorieties, and finding ways to grow property values while keeping Royal Oak attainable.
"This year marks our 100 year anniversary as a city and we have accomplished so much," said the mayor. "The next 100 years is set to be even better because of the spirit of our community is alive. Our resolve is strong. And the commitment we have to each other is unmatched."
