Sustainability & Climate Action Plan

The Sustainability and Climate Action Plan (S-CAP) was adopted by the Royal Oak City Commission on May 9, 2022.

The goal of the plan is to guide and coordinate all aspects of city service delivery and investments to ensure the most sustainable, inclusive, climate-friendly options are implemented and help  Royal Oak leaders and staff foster regional cooperation and local participation in sustainability efforts.

The public comment period was open for online and written submissions from March 14 – March 31, 2022. View the complete extent of the comments,

Focus Topic Work Groups (Sept.- Nov. 2021)

There were 24 Focus Topic Work Group sessions that produced action recommendations to the task force for inclusion in the S-CAP.

June 29, 2021 Community Sustainability Forum Event

The Royal Oak Sustainability Task Force hosted its first event, the online Community Sustainability Forum Kick-Off meeting, on June 29, 2021.  There were 75+ participants on the Zoom call and others watching the WROK live-stream.
